I'm part of a "mommy help group" on Facebook that was founded by a couple girls who went to Virginia Tech. One of my high school friends who went to college with them invited me, and it's interesting to get tips from people with a wide age range of children.
Anyway, someone posted a tip from her pedi about teething. Her pedi doesn't suggest using Orajel, but does suggest dipping your finger in the Children's Benadryl bottle and rubbing a small amount on the gums. Her pedi says not to give more than what's on your finger after dipping it in the bottle. She said worked for her son immediately - less fussy, would eat, and stopped tugging his ears.
I'm definitely going to try this and will let you know how it works for us.
