Drinking Question for BFing moms...

MIL is sitting for us while we go to a wedding tonight.  I'm going to have some wine at the reception.  How long should I "pump & dump" after we get home?

Once you don't feel drunk you can BF.  There is no need to pump and dump unless you get engorged.

If it's one glass, I wouldn't worry about pump and dump.

I think it depends on how much you drink and for how long.  I went to a wedding and pumped right before the reception.  Had a 2 drinks (that was plenty - trust me! ) and was done.  I am on a six hour pumping schedule so I simply dumped my next pump.  I know that I am not the norm, so I would probably dump the next two following your last drink.

I've had a glass on occasion and have never pumped and dumped.  As long as I'm not tipsy or drunk, I'm ok with still feeding my baby.
