Trying to Get Pregnant

Cost of an SA?

DH is getting an SA tomorrow. We were told his insurance won't cover it. Does anyone have a guesstimate for how much an SA costs without insurance? I understand the costs vary from dr to dr, just wondering the what the cost may be.

Hope that helps give you an idea.

Perhaps depends on where you live, etc.

My husband doesn't have insurance and he paid $105 at fertility clinic, they gave us results over the phone in 4 days and then faxed actual paper results that same afternoon

    Me: 32, DH: 34.
Trying since Jan 2011. Unexplained IF.

    1 IVF (Dec 2013) = BFN.

  • MH has is SA about a month ago. We are yet to see a bill, but were told that is would be aroun $150 at a hospital lab or $250 at the RE. You could probably ask your insurace if there is any infertility testing coverage. I think "it's not covered" is the go to answer, but most will cover something. Also if you have a flex plan (or cafeteria plan) you can pay for it with that. Good luck with the SA!
Lots of love and luck to my labor buddy Shaq(Maddox is here!), psychgirl (Molly is here!), ccam (Team Green 8/10/12), lycih (due 12/7/12) all my magical friends!
