Saturday I noticed my armpit was sore. I found a peasize lump there. It is tender to the touch. I have an OB appt. Thursday so I will mention it to her. It isn't red but is painful mainly when pressed. You can notice a lump under my skin when you look at it. I have been doing warm compresses and massaging it but it hasn't helped. Has anyone else had this? Do milk ducts go that high? I am guessing it is most likely a lymph node and praying it is nothing serious!
I wondered about that too but assumed my skin would be read or I would see something? Not sure what I would do about an ingrown hair...I did just shave Thursday night and it showed up Saturday.
I don't want to alarm you, and it is probably nothing but, please go to your OB and insist they investigate it further, a dear friend of mine had the exact same symptoms and it ended up being breast cancer, her OB did not follow up and finally after three other visits she went to a new OB and it by the time it was diagnosed it was stage 4. It can be many things but it is definitely something to follow up with and insist on continued care until they can tell you what exactly it is.

I've had it before. Woke up sore with a pea size sore bump, and then it grew within 24 hrs to the size of a golf ball. Came down with the flu or something the next day. it was just my lymph node, and it was gone within a few days.
I used to get these all the time. My doc told me they were clogged sweat glands from using anitperspirant and had me switch to deoderant instead. the warm compresses will help clear them up
I had this pre pregnancy and only appeared every time I got my period each month. Small lump, like a gland and it was so sore. If DH would tickle me or whatever I would almost cry it was so sore. In my first trimester or as soon as I found out I was pregnant it was worse and consistent for about 3 months. Both Doctors in the practice felt it each week and even though it did get bigger they assured me it wasn't a lymph node because of the location and due to its texture etc.. it wasn't cancer. They pretty much said that we would monitor it and if it changed somewhat then I might have to see a specialist get an MRI or whatever to assess it. My armpit is still tender and only my eft one at that, but the lump did go down!
I'm not saying it couldn't be anything else but it sounds exactly what I have been dealing with for over a year now and it comes and goes with my "hormones"
