I'm making my mom's birthday cake and I just realized I don't have any vegetable oil. Can I sub something else in the mix?
I have olive oil, butter crisco sticks.
citiprincess:I think you can use applesauce as well
I do have applesauce. I'm going to try that. Hope it works, because if it doesn't my mom will surely let the room know!
You can use the crisco, same measurements.
I've heard this is a very good alternative
I've done this, it works very well!
SarahPLiz:Plain yogurt (especially greek yogurt) works well also. Its one of my fave oil subs.
Crisco will work, or if you have a pudding cup that will work well too. The pudding cup makes your cake sooo moist!
