Vibrating massage pillow???

My lower back has been killing me, and without even thinking I sat against a vibrating/kneading massage pillow.  After a few minutes I thought "maybe I shouldn't be doing this".  I read the instruction manual and it said to consult a physician before using if pregnant.  I'm worrying a little, and my doctor's office is closed, so I can't call and ask her.  Do any of you ladies have any knowledge on this?

  • I have my DH massage my back all the time with a vibrating massager, He did it when I was pregnant with our daughter too. You're just not supposed to use it on your sides or belly, on your back is fine.

  • Unless you're having a high risk pregnancy, I don't see any harm in using a vibrating pillow or muscle massager.  Then again, I'm a first time mom, but that's my thinking anyway.

  • My husband got me one of these for Christmas. My doctor said it is perfectly fine to use.

  • I just used mine tonight.......lower back and shoulders.  If it's nowhere near your bump/LO, I really can't see the harm in it.
  • um yea, you're past the 37 week mark anyway. Soooo.....

pretty sure you're fine to use a massaging pillow.
