Hello ladies! Last week I think we were posting about maternity dresses and sizes and Asos Maternity (us.asos.com).
I bought this one:
and
I LOVE them both. The quality is pretty good. I bought them both for a total of 45 dollars, so really not too bad.
I ordered my pre pg dress size which is a comfortable 6. Pre pg I was a 34C chest. Ok..so my chest has increased to a 36D. MY OWN FAULT. Since I just looked at the size guide and it clearly says 34 for size UK 10 (US 6) and 36 for UK 12 (US 8). Both dresses are very snug in the chest (I want to keep them so bad but not sure my chest is going to grow even more). So my tip? Order your biggest measurement on the size chart, not necessarily your pre preg size. Both are extremely flattering though...It will take every ounce of my being to NOT order again today from them...the cut is just so cute.
I *may* keep the first (since it is quite boobalicious and I think MH will love it...and they do not have an 8!! Lame!) and exchange the second for a size up. Or I may look today for some similar dresses and exchange. In either way, very cute dresses, look at your measurements closely though!!
Re: Asos Maternity Review!
I had the same sizing issue. I am normally a 2 or 4 and ordered size S and 6 dresses... they were both pretty tight on my now giant boobs.
Glad to hear it wasn't just me!
ooh I LOVE that first one.
I'm actually wearing an ASOS maternity dress tonight to a wedding! I did find the same issue though -- pre-preg works in all places but the boobahs. But I'm making it work hahaha.
I ordered a dress and 2 tops. The tops were actually from their regular collection, not maternity. All 3 were HUGE. Tents. My pre-pregnancy size was a 6, which is what I orderes. I ended up returning the dress and 1 top, kept the other because I figure I can wear it with leggings throughout the summer (it's the white one below). I liked them all, but they were just way too big. I'm also 5 foot, so maybe that had something to do with it? Now I know to get items that are more fitted.
Returning was super easy and I've already gotten a refund, so yay! Hopefully the 2 pairs of leggings on their way works out better....
After 2 years, Injects, PCOS diagnosis and 2 IUI's, we were blessed with our beautiful twin girls!
Baby Girl #3!
Oh and FWIW, I ordered on the 18th, and received yesterday. Their US shipping is from Augusta GA (although tracking was started from NY???) I think...I am in MA. So it doesn't take too long for the east coast.
Thanks for sharing! I was just trying to remember that website yesterday, great timing! I'm going to a wedding in 2 weeks and the pre-pg dress I was gonna wear (empire waist) fits, but b/c its not mat, my belly is tipping the front half up so it doesn't look as cute as it did when I tried it on a few weeks ago.
I love the 2nd pic, might work for an LA wedding!
I was impressed with the shipping, UK to Singapore in under a week.
Their customer service is pretty responsive too. One item inexplicably reeked of cigarette smoke. I wasn't about to incur the expense of a return when a trip through the laundry could fix the item, but did contact customer service and received a discount voucher (which I then let lapse - duh!).
I've experienced the same issue with sizing in the chest. I also realised yesterday that one item is missing a press stud on the sleeve which is annoying.
My advice? Great prices, great delivery, great customer service. Just be sure to check your items carefully when they arrive.
