Morning Sickness advice

Today at my 9 week apt my nurse told me to not mix wet and dry....

As in, when you eat food (small meals often throughout the day) not to drink a lot with it. Get your H2O and other liquids when not eating.

I'd never heard that before!

So far I haven't been super sick, just queasy a lot. But hopefully this helps reduce that too!

Re: Morning Sickness advice

  • I haven't heard of that either, maybe I'll try it out.

The only thing that really seems to help me are jolly ranchers.  I carry a bag around with me.  My Dr. said that hard candy is o.k. so that's what I'm sticking with.

  • I have tried this, it doesn't work for me. I am vomiting 3-4 times a day, but more harshly in the morning. I have tried everything online- ginger, watermelon, lemonade, saltines, eat small meals every 1-2 hours, etc. I called my MD and they said to take B-6 every 8 hours, I am on day 2 of that and so far have thrown up twice today.

It is pretty hard to keep pg a secret with ALL DAY sickness (morning sickness is such a misnomer). 2 people at work already asked me today.

  • I'll admit, whenever I eat cereal with milk poured on it, I feel like I'm about to die.  It also really scares me because I am so early in my pregnancy.  I have had very terrible nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.  Basically the only things I have been able to eat successfully for the past 3 days are dry Cheerios and an apple.
