Well yes, of course. When they're hungry, they will try to turn their mouth towards finding the nipple, it doesn't make a difference that FF babies are given a bottle instead of breast in that sense.
I don't know when the reflex ends. DS is 8 weeks and still does it.
Stupid me - it's a reflex of course they do it. But does anyone know if FF babies stop rooting earlier than BFd babies? Has it stopped for anyone before 3 months?
M is 2 months, 2 weeks (almost) and he still roots. I don't know if that has to do with being premature or not, but I do know that he has not "learned" to stop, if that's what you're wondering.
