Rec your diaper rash cream

Hi ladies-

lurking from 0-3, and was wondering what you would recommend for stopping diaper rash in its tracks.  I noticed what I think is diaper rash around my LO's butt crack and have been using Butt Paste on it (after making sure the area is completely dry).  If you have a product you think is better I am all ears!  The poor thing has already dealt with baby acne and eczema on her face, I want to ward off any more rashes.

I used butt paste as well but it didn't seem to do doing the trick so I switched to desitin and it made a big difference.

We sprinkle corn starch on our LO but if things are looking to bad (usually while she is teething) I use A&D ointment.

I use target's up & up brand creamy diaper rash ointment and it works for LO.  But my LO does not have sensitive skin and rarely gets a diaper rash.

A&D w/ Zinc.The bourdoux didn't work for DS. You may have to try a few to get the one that works best for you LO

I think that coconut oil works wonders!

G had a yeast diaper rash recently (NASTY bugger that was!). We used Lotrimin on it because it is actually a fungus and regular diaper cream won't touch it.

I will also add that a good friend of mine has a daughter will extremely sensitive skin.  She uses pure zinc oxide. She said you don't have to have a prescription, but you do have to ask the pharmacist for it. Sometimes they have to order it for you. At any rate, it is not water soluble, so it stays on in the tub and keeps the diaper area protected from all moisture. You take it off with petroleum jelly.

Caldesene... You can only get it at Walgreen's and its about $6.00 a bottle but it lasts forever and is SOOOO worth it! My LO had a horrible diaper rash that I tried desitin, a/d, butt paste, and corn starch on but nothing seemed to do much good. I was rec this and by the next day she was nearly cleared up!

Triple Paste Diaper Ointment works for us and has no scent.

Also, we sprinkle cornstarch baby powder in his diaper and that helps prevent rashes.

Monkey Butt from BabiesRUs works for my son. If I see an redness pop up, I put some on, and I swear, by the next diaper change it's almost gone.
