Earlier this week I posted about Jason having the stomach flu. Well, Claire got it on Tuesday night (throwing up 6 times), and then I got it yesterday morning. I think it sucked so hard for me because it happened around 5:30 in the morning, so I was already a little dehydrated from the night time hours. I tried little sips of water throughout the day, a little bit of food, etc. I stayed in bed all day (on my side) because it was the only position that didn't make feel god awful. I thought I was getting a bit better by afternoon, but I got serious chills--and got really sick again.
So, the doctor sent me to triage for a liter of an electrolyte cocktail and some wonderful Zofran. I was apparently really dehydrated, but I'm feeling so much better today.
Oh yeah, we heard the heart beat on the Dopler, and it was around 185 bpm. Yikes! But the nurse said that's common if you are dehydrated. So, all seems well with the baby.
Re: my 5 hour triage stay
Oh wow! I'm glad you are feeling so much better!!
How scary..but YAY for hearing your little one!
WOW. That's awful. I hope you're feeling much better.
There's quite the nasty stomach bug going around this winter.

I'm glad you and baby are OK!
No more sickness this winter
Oh my! I hope you're doing better today. It's good that you were proactive and went to triage when your doc suggested it.
Also, I can't believe you're over 12 weeks already!
Yeah, even the nurses were short staffed because they were out with the same thing. They said it's really going around right now, so we should all be careful.
