I got ours at Target. It's just a rectangular beige shag rug. They have some really cute colors and patterns, I just wanted a neutral one because I was afraid a patterned one would make the nursery too busy next to our other decor.
reasonable prices and quite a variety of rugs in all shapes and sizes. hope this helps!
I also bought mine from homedecorators.com/
It is a white faux sheepskin rug in 8ft round. We also have hardwood floors and it really softens the room, I love it! This website is great. Shortly after my rug came was asked to review it for a $30 off $150 coupon. I used the discount to buy a table for the nursery and another rug for our upstairs hallway!
DH and I looked for a month before finally buying one. We bought it at Westelm.com and ended up returning it because it wasn't the same color as it was in the online photo (it was supposed to be gray and turned out blue - we're team green so blue wasn't an option for us). That scared us off buying online so we went EVERYWHERE looking for one. Finally settled on a cream colored one at Lowes. It wasn't supposed to be a kid's rug, but we needed a large one (8x11) because our hardwood floors are not beautiful. If I had nice hardwood I'd go with circle or oval.
EVERYWHERE = Lowes, Target, Home Depot, Bed Bath & Beyond, Ikea, Cost Plus, JC Penney, Macys, Ross, Marshalls, Burlington Coat Factory, Pottery Barn, all sorts of local and chain rug stores, and probably some other places I just can't think of right now.
I absolutely LOVE my nursery rug. It is so soft and the colors are perfect. It was backstocked for a week but they managed to get it to me a week before the estimated delayed shipping date.
we have 2 rugs in the nursery. There is a 4x6ft one in front of the bureau and the changing table that I bought from Ikea. It was $50 and is a thick shag. I really wanted te 5x8 size but the color I wanted didn;t come in that size. MH told me that he saw a butterfly rug in the clearance bin at Lowe's for $18 so he picked that up. Its a 3x4.5ft so that is in front of the crib. That one is kind of like a burbur feeling.

We just ordered ours online at csnsupply.com (company that supplies most of the interior/home decor stuff to walmart and walmart.com). I think the price is good ($139) since the rug is high quality and really plush. The size is 3'6" x5'6" since we have hardwood floors too. I didn't want to cover up the floor too much once they are refinished. I loved the rug so much I unconcsiously decorated the room around it so I had to have it when I figured out that no other rug would do.

We got our chocolate shag rug at Gordman's for like $95. I saw rugs on Gilt this week...really cute ones, but are still kinda pricy.

They do free shipping and there is a 30% off coupon right now: "select30"
We didn't like any of the ones from IKEA or Target for our space, so we got this one off Overstock.
5x7 and $40. It hasn't arrived yet so I can't say how it is in person, but I'm very optimistic.

Ooh, thanks for this tip! They have the Momeni train rug I fell in love with earlier and with the 30% off code it brings the cost down quite a bit.
