Anyone have to have silver nitrate applied for not healing properly?

i did for a 2nd degree tear. i had it applyed at my 6 week follow-up. (Ouch!) I was told to go home and sitz bath 3 times a day and I had to go back to the doctor's every week for 3 weeks to make sure I was healing.  Finally, I was ok.
