Baby poop vs Diarrhea

Ok, call me new at this, but what is the difference?  Megan is breastfed, and all he diapers are runny.  They always have been.  So, if she is fine, with runny diapers that run all over the place, how would I know if she had diarrhea?

I had trouble figuring this out too. With my son, I'd hear the diarrhea hit the diaper. It sounded like a cupful of sand being poured into it, but when I'd look at the diaper, there'd be very little in it. The diarrhea was watery than poop, so the diaper absorbed more of it.

That doesn't help much, does it . . . ?
