I've used 3 different home daycares (all good, just took some breaks from work between kids and had to switch caregivers). The first daycare I used was $50/day or $10/hr for drop in care. The second daycare was $8/hr and the one I have now is $6.25/hr for more than 20 hours a week and $6.75/hr if less than that. They were all in the North Shore area.
i send my DS to my sister in law who has a home daycare we get a discount but she charges 250 a week... however the day is less because all of the parents are teachers at pick up by 3:30..good luck!
Here is the website of licensed home and center providers for the state. You can look up daycares in your area and many will tell you right on this site what they charge.
I paid 35/day for 4 days or 140 a week for an in home daycare that the didn't work and now I pay 50/day or 255 a week for 5 days. I am much happier with the pricier one but it's too expensive.
I think it depends some on your area. I found one as low as $200/wk, but that was "under the table" so I couldn't use a DFS account to pay for it. Decided on one for about $270/wk (which is about where most of them were). We looked in Natick and Lexington areas.
I am a licensed home daycare provider in Uxbridge and charge $40/day for full time (5 days/week) and $45/day for 2 days. I provide food but not baby food, formula or diapers and wipes.

DS is in pre-school now, but we used 3 different in-home daycares before...in the Braintree area...
They all were around $50/day, $250/wk including meals only (not when bottle fed).
