I'm an occupational therapist (lurker), but just wanted to let you know that if you're on Facebook, there are several pages on there for AMC support. Here is one link, but if you do a search, you can find various other pages.
I am just a lurker, but...
There is a blog I follow (adoption) of a family who adopted 3 girls from the Ukraine. One of the daughters (Erika, age 12-13) has Arthrogryposis. The link below links to all of the posts tagged "arthrogyposis."
I don't have have any personal experience, though. Good luck.
I have a 12 year old son with arthrogryposis. There are hundreds of families over on www.amcsupport.org, many of us are also on Facebook too!
It does get easier. The early months are filled with doctors appointments and stretching, and if you can make stretching a part of everyday life (i.e., during each diaper change) it will just be what you do. There are great therapists and doctors out there and you are lucky that there is now a national group of families who get together in real life once a year!
