Maternity support belt?

Has anyone on here used/tried a maternity support belt for back/pelvic pain and/or sciatica? I have been having a lot of pain, and my OB said it's a combination of sciatica and a transverse baby. One thing she recommended was some sort of maternity support belt... A Google search came up with a lot of different kinds!

Does anyone have any experience with one or want to share what they're doing for pain like this?

I wore one during 2nd tri for sciatica (Motherhood Ultimate Support Band from BRU).

I tried to wear it the other day and it was waaay to uncomfy, maybe something wider would be better

I actually went to the Dr. on Monday b/c I had such sharp pain in my lower pelvis and upper thighs! Turns out, she said, it's just a combination of third pregnancy, weaker abdominals, and carrying low.  I could hardly walk!  I immediately went to Babies R Us, and found the Boppy Belly Band (i really think that's the name!)  $30 to be able to walk and get in and out of the car was totally worth it.  I cannot believe the difference.

   I was prescribed  (the only word I can think of - the doctor actually had to write it out in order for me to pick it up) one by my doctor about a month and a half ago because my hands were starting to get extremely tingly then they would go completely numb which the doctor said was due to carpal tunnel. It really does work, not only for that, but also for lifting up the baby and helping ease some back pain. My mom never heard of them when I mentioned it to her, then she got jealous because she never got one! lol
