Looks like I'm ready to buy actual nursing bras (I already have 2 sleeping nursing bras and 3 tanks).
Where would you suggest I go to get them? I know I need to be measured...so online is probably not the best choice. I'd like to try them on.
The LCs that run the "Lactation Boutique" at the hospital I delivered at told me to wait until 3 - 3.5 weeks PP before coming in to get measured. They said that until then your ribcage is still going to be shrinking and you should not go out and spend good money on bras. Rather, she told me to get one or two of the medela Comfort line bras in the mean time - they are basically sports bras. I LOVE it and am actually buying another when I go in to get measured for real bras. I had 2 sleep bras, but am bigger up top so they did nothing for me. The Comfort line is not SUPER supportive, but 1000X better than the sleep bra and VERY comfy - perfect for wearing around the house and I have even thrown it on to go out. They come in S, M, L sizes, so you don't really need to get measured.
You definitely should find somewhere to go and get measured for your real bras....they can be expensive!
I would check you hospital or any Sutter Hospital, as I was told they all have "lactation stations" which offer breast feeding support and equipment. Mine has weird hours though.
I went to a place near me called Herself moms but they also told me to wait a month before getting measured since my ribcage is shrinking. I know it's a bit far for you, but I bet if you called they would have a local referral to give you. It's in Roseville
TulipsAndChampagne:Nordstrom. I get all my bras there. AND...if it ends up not working well, they will exchange it with no questions.
I have two without an underwire by ellen mcpharson that i absolutely love! I am a hard size 32E and this one is just amazing! I never had such good support without an underwire!!

I ended up in a flippin 40 I...was a 36 DD PP and a 40H pregnant...and now an I. I am so going to need a boob job.
froggiegirl0:I really like Bravado's original nursing bra. My boobs are super big but the double plus version fits great. The drop cup latch is also very easy to unfasten with one hand.
