I did not take these photos, they are taken by my best friend who owns her own photography business. She saw I was on this board and wanted some constructive criticism. Shes only been in business about 4 months and is still learning photoshop cs3
business watermarks are not allowed on here.
and yes. they are really overdone.
These are way overdone.
Would like to see the SOOC for any cc as these are creeping me out.
Gah! Warn a girl with a "creepy cyborgs" line in the title before scaring us all like that!
Things to dial back: crazy eye sharpening, crazy eye dodging, crazy skin smoothing, crazy gaussian blur...
"Things to dial back: crazy eye sharpening, crazy eye dodging, crazy skin smoothing, crazy gaussian blur..."
also, "integrity" is probably not the word to use to describe photos with this much post processing. you know?
Oh dear heavens. This editing is out of flipping control. WHY is this person in business?!!!?
This board...man I tell ya.

Lol, Stina! So true though!
Way too much. A little smoothing is okay, but when it's obvious it's too much. The key is to be subtle.
Same with the eyes. Waaay overdone.
Since brutal honesty was asked for, here's mine.
#1 would be fine if it were an advertisement for some sort of vampire movie although you may want a little blood by the lips.
#2 would be okay if it were the 80's and if the photo was taken at Glamour Shots at the mall.
They are WAY overprocessed. Everything that is being done to these photos needs to be toned down to less than 10% of what it currently is.
LitosMena:Darn! I missed it too! I just wanted to say that she should learn how to take pictures and how to edit them BEFORE going into business. WTH is wrong with some people...
Frankly, it makes me curious as to whom the "friend" really is. Just sayin'.
