A few times, DH & I have both slipped and called her by what we THINK we're going to name her, but DH hasn't officially settled on it yet (he is picking 1st, I am picking middle). I told him if he wants to pick that, that's fine, but I guess he's still on the fence.
I also call her "baby," but mostly only when I like to bump up against my hubby and go "BABY ATTACK!" (which I find funnier than he does. It cracks me up for no good reason.)

I have no clue why I started doing it, but I highly recommend it. It's like, she's kicking ME throughout the day, why doesn't she try going after Daddy for a while? (Besides, it seems whenever she's kicking strong and I call his attention to it, sometimes just me speaking gets her to stop, so he doesn't see the "biggies." So I make my own!)

the kid, the baby, on my blog I refer to him as lil pumpkin. to DH, HIS son.
