Hey Ladies, Tonight we will be using a babysitter outside of our family tonight so I was wondering if anyone had advice on what the going hourly rate is.
I think it depends on where you live, who is babysitting and how many kids you have. When the high school girl down the street comes over we pay her $10/hour. When the 35 year old child care professional (runs a daycare, certified, etc) comes over it is more like $15. We live in CA and only have the 1 child.
Re: Baby sitter rates? Anyone have suggestions
We do $12/hr.
In Dallas (TX) - not sure how our costs of living compare
ten dollars an hour is good.
I agree with $10 an hour.
I'm in your area...although I'm too late to the post to help you tonight.
I paid $10/hr for one child and now $15/hr for two. I also pay them 30 mins on the front end and 30 mins on the back for travel time.
