I'm out of town right now, but I started feeling a dull ache on my lower back, a little towards the right, and this morning it's really awful Is this something I should call my Dr/L&D about today or could it wait until tomorrow? I'm wondering if it is a kidney... not quite sure.
Already know that, and not looking for a diagnosis.
Its only one side, and feels like it is inside.. it doesn't feel like the rest. Maybe a kidney or something. My concern is that if this is something common or to be worried about. I think I will wait until tomorrow.
I had some pretty bad lower back pain today, completely dissimilar to the average back ache I get from being on my feet or from sleeping in an uncomfortable position, which made me worried about all the things it could possibly be. It was off to the right side of my lower back, but not as far out as where the kidneys are-- more toward the spine.
I tried doing some stretches, a warm shower, and was considering calling the doctor, but then it dawned on me it could be constipation. A glass of metamucil and some prunes later...I am feeling much better. Your pain may be different, but I thought I'd throw it out there since my mind immediately raced to kidney problems and other larger issues instead of thinking about issues with irregularity. Good luck!

Thanks for this! I actually had to make myself poop a little while ago and the pain is subsiding now.. so maybe that was it. Trust me, I know lower back pain, and I'm not going to question it until it feels completely abnormal which this did. Hopefully it keeps going away and I'm fine!
