The Tantrums are killing me!

DS is 21 months and it seems the tantrums are getting worse.  What is the best advice you've gotten for dealing with them, especially ones when you are out at the store or something?

I have no advice because I could of typed this myself expect most of the time he only throws his tantrums at home for me and DH.  I'm hoping other people have advice because I'm getting to my wits end.

I highly recommend Playful Parenting.  A good approach to diffusing tantrums with play and humor.  Particularly effective while in public.
