my friend's name choice...

I have a friend due a month after me who is having a boy... his name will be:

Paisley Lane

 seriously? it doesn't seem like a boy name. I mean Lane was what we were going to name LO if we were having a boy but Paisley?? FYI we are very ditant friends we used to be close but live 5 hrs away now...

Anyone think this sounds ok? Is it just me thinking it might make an ok girls name but not for a boy...

Originally her name choices were Wyatt for a boy and Payslee for a girl. I guess she decided to change her girl name and make it a boy name...

 Upon hearing this DH said he wanted to name our LO Argyle instead, lol gotta love him!

Paisley= a girl name imo. Not a cute name anyways, but totally feminine.

Reminds me of Penny Lane from Almost Famous. So, not just a girl but a groupie. Paisley would be OK for a girl (IMO) if it was paired with a cute, traditional middle name.

None of those names are really my style.  Paisley is setting the poor child for torture growing up.  He'll change his as soon as he legally can - unless he killed his parents beforehand.

The "friend" I was speaking about the other day who everyone agreed was toxic?  She named her DD Meadow Chantal.  I almost died when she told me - and she doesn't even watch Sopranos.

You guys are looking at this the wrong way... Paisley isn't the best name for a little boy in my book... BUT it's 500 times better than Payslee!! I keep reading it as Payless every time LOL
