High-Risk Pregnancy


I am high risk for pre-term labor due to the shape of my uterus.  My doctor has told me know exercise.  So far all is going well and know signs of the baby coming early. 

 I know I need to follow docs orders, but has anyone had this experience before?  Is there any safe exercise for being at risk for pre-term labor?  Some of my girlfriends keep telling me yoga or isometric exercises to work my core, but I'm not sure.  Any recommendations and advice would help.  I feel so out of shape!

  • When the doctor says "No exercise" he means "NO EXERCISE", no  yoga, no walking, no isometrics, nothing, nadda. Trust me I know where you're coming from. Pre pregnancy I was an avid runner it killed me to stop everything but it's what's best for the baby. I'm also at high risk for PTL due to previous pregnancies in PTL, and a history of miscarriages as well as a disease called Adenomyosis. It sucks but what can you do? August isn't THAT far off. You'll be able to get back to your routine soon.
