Have you done any research into natural births? Such as classes like bradley or hypno birthing or do you happen to have a doula? I know my doula has shown us a few natural birthing videos and I have watched some on you tube.
If you haven't done to much research I would HIGHLY suggest at least getting a few books because being prepared is one of the biggest parts of going natural (no meds).
Just the same way you wouldn't show up for a marathon without any training you shouldn't show up to labor without any training or research and expect it to come out the way you want.
I loved the "Business of Being Born". DH watched it w/ me the other night and he really enjoyed it too. (You can watch in online on Netflix). "Born in the USA" is a video we watched in our Bradley classes, also very good.
Here's a link to some that are posted online:
Giving Birth Naturally
DH and I Googled things like, "videos hospital birth" or "videos natural childbirth", "videos birth episiotomy"...etc. I recommend haphazardly viewing birth videos. You'll get a wide variety of information.
TIP: Don't eat while watching these videos. It has the same effect as when you watch CSI while scarfing down a plate of spaghetti. When someone is getting an autopsy, all of a sudden your pasta primavera isn't that yummy anymore.
