A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I have met Eryn, Erinn, Arin, Aron, Erryn, and Erynne. All of them regularly had their names mispronounced by teachers, principals, bill collectors, police officers and just about everyone who read their names.
Don't purposely misspell a name. If you spell it differently, people assume it's pronounced differently. If you like the name, use it.... or find another one.

Hey I'm also an Erin and also from RI...small world )
I agree that there is no reason to spell Erin any other way. Any other spelling is "youneek" and seems ridiculous to me.
I prefer correct spellings, when you change the spelling you change the pronunciation sometimes. Arron (people would say AR-on) Aronn (people would say Uh-ron)

my Mom's friend has a daughter "Arynn" but I think it is kinda lame
I think these are the only two traditional spellings. Anything else would be you-neek.
Erin or Erieann with a little accent over the E are said the same way.
Aaron for a boy, I've also seen it Aronn and Arron.

Exactly! Erin is for a girl. Aaron is a comletely different name for a boy. Aron (ETA)or Aharon is the hebrew spelling.
If you want to spell erin another way: Eryn? Looks weird. Errin? Erinn? Not sure what you're going for here.

Wrong. Erin = Irish, Aaron = Hebrew
I knew a girl named Erinn and one named Erynn. But I like Erin the best. Aerin might not be bad.

I have a friend named Eireann.
'Eire' is the Gaelic word for Ireland. The name Erin/Eireann literally means 'of Ireland'.
