Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Two week mark today...

Wednesday's will forever be my reminder of the baby we never got to meet, but I'm doing amazingly well given the circumstances.  I still have my moments, but I'm here, working, living, and starting to smile again & enjoy the blessings I do have in my life.  I'll never forget this baby, and I'm sure I'll still cry for them for a long time to come.  I also think LO's looking down on me right now & is very proud of how strong their mama is.  I wish you all the same.

Re: Two week mark today...

  • Great post for a lot of reasons. One of which is that it made me realize that I forgot that today marks another week for me too and that I forgot how many weeks it has been until I thought about it hard.  ((Hugs))

  • We are at the two-week mark as well, and thank you for your uplifting post. I was just thinking today how it felt as if it had been a year since this happened, not two weeks, and I am still having a difficult time. I am looking forward to seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and feeling some joy again in my life.

  • I, too, was hearing those dreaded words two weeks ago (exactly, even at this time). This was our first pregnancy. I just can't get those words from ringing in my ears, "There is no heartbeat."

I feel like I'm handing this fairly well. I still feel lucky to have a great husband and family, but I sure do miss my baby. I have faith that my mother was waiting in heaven for our baby. If nothing else, I find comfort that she'll meet one of her grandbabies.

I'm sorry to all of you. Let's all hope that our hearts heal a bit more each day.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your LO and your mother.  I lost my mom to cancer when I was 13 and I take comfort in thinking of her with the two babies she lost and the one I lost.

  • Thanks for the post, it brought tears to my eyes thinking about our lo, it has been 8 weeks today for me since the d&e and exactly two months since we found out our baby had no heart beat.
