What age do you start putting LO on a schedule instead of him making the schedule?  We have a general routine other than the whole napping thing, I know when they are little they sleep when they want etc but what age does that need to change?

I think closer to the 6 month mark. You need to wait until they are a bit more self sufficient (i.e. self soothing, etc)
