eye discharge-pink eye/clogged tear duct?

Yesterday I noticed DD had some eye discharge and she must have had some today too. Her daycare teacher mentioned it when I picked her up.  It isn't a ton, but more than normal. She doesn't usually get it throughout the day.  I obviously thought pink eye, but her eye isn't pink at all.  There doesn't seem to be any other symptoms.  Her teacher even said that she didn't think it was pink eye (she said she's seen a lot of it to know!). 

But I don't know what else would cause it.  Any ideas?  I can give the dr a call tomorrow if needed.  DH thinks it's no big deal.  But I hate eye stuff!!
