DD has 12 teeth, so I thought I'd seen it all where teething is concerned. But the past couple of weeks, she's been grabbing her tongue all the time. Not touching her gums, not chewing her fingers, but specifically grabbing the tongue. Is this a teething thing? Or just a discovery thing? I thought she might be teething b/c she's had some runny poops, but the tongue grabbing is kinda weird. Anyone else see this in their LO?

My DD doesn't have very many teeth, but she does grab her tongue a lot. She also tries to put her fingers inside my mouth and DH's. I think for her, it is a discovery thing.
My son grabs and plays with his tongue too! He makes noises like "bah bah bah bah" by patting his hand back and forth on his tongue. I think it is just plain intrigue with something new, a fun discovery.
