kubes:I vote Alessandra! Very pretty :)
Not only is it a less common name, and one of my faves, BTW, it flows better with Ivy. Although I do love Elizabeth, too, the long E at the end of Ivy will get amalgamated into one doubly-long E sound with the one at the beginning of Elizabeth. Basically, she would be Ivylizabeth.
I vote Ivy Alessandra.
I love Elizabeth but it is so popular for a middle name.
Thanks all! I do prefer Alessandra and it's similar to my middle name Aleece and my grandmother's name Alice. Elizabeth, however, is my MIL's name. I didn't want to say all that though because I just wanted opinions on the sound of each. I never thought of the double E sound with Elizabeth but you have a point there... maybe that's why it just doesn't sound as good to me.
