Custom cloth wipes?

I found some really cute ones on Etsy, and bought them for a friend who is expecting, but they are close to $1 a piece. I personally have about 30 wipes, at least, and though I love love love the cute patterns, I am not digging spending $30 on wipes for her.?

Is there anywhere to get cute patterns cheaper? ?

    DIY?  I made my own out of cute, used flannel receiving blankets, two layers, and did the edge with a zig-zag stitch (I don't have a serger).  I did a few with flannel on one side and terry on the other for poopy changes.

    I don't have a sewing machine though. My mom does and maybe she could show me how to do it. That's not a horrible plan.?
