A few of my co-workers and I were talking about maternity leave in other countries and I made the comment about leave being 12 weeks in America. My supervisor walked by and heard this and says, "Yeah, the law says 12 weeks but we will see where your loyalties are when it is time to take leave" WTF?!?! My loyalties?!?!? Does she think I am going to have my baby on a Saturday and be back at this office on Monday? The amount of FMLA I take has nothing to do with my loyalty to my job. It is based on if I am physically able to.
