Anyone have a recommendation for daycare in the Leesburg area? I'd prefer in-home, but am open to a center setting as well. I wouldn't need care until October but would like to have things set up in advance. Thanks so much!
Most in-home daycares do not know their availability this far in advance. As nice as it would be to set it up now, it isn't likely unless you pay for a spot even before your child is born. I am due in May and the ones I have spoken with in Ashburn have asked me to call back in May since I'll be out for 8 weeks of maternity leave. From what I've heard 6-8 weeks is right around the standard advance notice they will have. As far as day care centers, you may want to contact them ASAP as they usually have lengthy (sometimes more than a year) waiting lists.
I've checked the state list for licensed in home daycares and have spoken to a few, but was hoping someone might have a referral. The ones I have spoken to have been able to tell me about availability this early (allowing me to reserve a spot without a deposit), but I understand not all of them will.

Loudoun County doesn't have their own licensing for in-home daycare but they do have a voluntary registered list. Their website has that list as well as the state licensed daycares in the county: https://www.loudoun.gov/Default.aspx?tabid=336&fmpath=/Family%20Services
Additionally, you can check the state website and find out more about the inspection reports, etc for those state licensed in home providers:
