Let us guide you along week-by-week!)
About 2 weeks
I've had 3 c-sections in 3 years. I wasn't in pain at all. A bit sore in the hospital, but no real pain. I have a VERY HIGH threshold for pain though. I've never taken pain meds for my c-sections in the hospital or at home.
It's normal to feel pain or discomfort after a c-section though. It's why they prescribe narcotics to you for 1 month afterward.?
I would take 1 or 2 percocet a day for about 7 days. And anti-inflammatorys for about 1 and 1/2 weeks.
Pain for about 4-5 days. (the meds helped)
By 2 weeks I was just a bit sore.
I never had a problem w/ stairs or anything like that. I just got stuck in the couch a few times!
I have a very HIGH threshold for pain... and I have moderate to severe pain for about 4 weeks afterward.
My doctor said that he thinks I pulled a muscle in my abdomen while I was recovering. Either that, or I was doing too much too soon.
Either way, it varies with everyone. Take things slow and try not to rush recovery. Listen to what your body is telling you to do.
