    8 weeks tomorrow! (7w+3D based on my O calculation) But it's my first appt. I know I'll be peeing in a cup, getting blood drawn, an U/S and answering a lot of questions. DH is going with me. 
    Anything else I should know for a first appt? Very nervous/excited!

    My first ultrasound tomorrow at 6w5d and I want to hurl. Not from morning sickness, but from nervousness. I started spotting/cramping/backache at 6w1d, when it had kept up 24hrs I started progesterone, which stopped it in a matter of hours. I had a really bad loss at 9w2d after seeing a HB and on track growth at 8w1d, then a chemical at 5w5d, and another chemical at 4w6d. All in the last 2 years. I just need this one to be & stay sticky. Meanwhile I've been drowning myself in a Google Scholar wormhole on statistics of repeated miscarriages, threatened miscarriage, and progesterone supplementation. Either way, I just want tomorrow to be OVER.

    @jmn1985 I'm a newbie too, that's why I was asking. But I know they'll run a pregnancy test, since it's my first visit. Not sure what's all checked in the blood draw. I was told there would be an U/S too, so that's definitely the most exciting part! I'll check in when I'm done.

    I had my first hematology appointment on Tuesday and it went well!  All labs look good and my kidney function is great!  FX it stays that way :)

    I have my first appointment today. It's a confirmation appointment, so I guess they will draw blood to check my HCG levels to confirm I'm pregnant. I don't remember them doing this the last time I got pregnant.

    MrsVP614 and mn1985  the blood draw can be for a few things. 1 to get a HCG level (which confirms pregnancy -if they don't do so with a pee test) or/and it can also get estrogen and progesterone levels. If you have a low progesterone level they might prescribe (depending on your dr and philosophy) to start you on progesterone meds with the goal to keep you pregnant (it is debatable whether it helps or just prolongs).

    I am off for my 2nd Beta (blood draw) and Progesterone/Estrogen Level test on Friday. I had a HCG level of 91.1 on Wed which they thought was good. The goal will be for my HCG # to have doubled by Friday. That means good growth and development is happening. We are also hoping for good high levels of progesterone and estrogen to reassure us that the pregnancy is supported properly. I got pregnant via IVF/Frozen Embryo Transfer so they make the point of staying on top of this information. I am also on Estrogen and Progesterone supplements right now (shots, pills, inserts etc) so I think they would just increase meds if the numbers looked lower than they wanted.

    October 2014-April 2015: Without Medication or Doctor Guidance No Periods/No O BFN 
    Medicated April-December 2015: Clomid (didn't work) and so we tried Femera/Letrozole. Progesterone Met 1000 Not diagnosed PCOS but treating the same. Anovulatory. TI No US No O BFN

    Good news: Measuring 6w1d, 120bpm! They saw remnants of a resolving SCH which explains my spotting last Sunday-Monday.

    Meh news: I'm 6w5d from lmp, but I ovulated on CD17, so that accounts for some. They saw a myoma, and there is a slight concern of a cornual ectopic, or that it implanted very close to where the tube dumps out into the uterus. But for now she's confident it's enough inside my uterus.
     
    Another follow up ultrasound next Wednesday.

    @GhanimaAtreides Yay for good news! 

    First appt went well! I'll post in u/s, but I was glad they did that first, to ease our nerves and because it's obviously the most exciting part! The rest was answering/asking questions and then a blood draw, which they'll call with any questionable results. 
    I have high blood pressure, so she upped my dose on my current medicine and we will have to keep an eye on that. 
    We are also considering some genetic testing because I have some family history. 
    But now that the first appt is under our belts, it definitely feels real!
