Has anyone had to change their bridesmaid dress size (after ordering it) bc ya got preggers?

Hubby and I recently had a miscarriage (Dec 23rd, nice xmas gift). We're waiting a few months before trying again but my baby sister is getting married this October. The line of dresses she picked isn't being discontinued, however the color she picked is changing a little... idk why, seems stupid. So, I have to order the dress before March! I'm going to my local dress shop but wanted to get feedback from you ladies. If hubby & I get preggers, what do I do? How many sizes up would I have to order?

OP - no real experience to provide. It's really hard to guess how big you'll be. Everyone carries differently and it depends when you get pregnant. It will also depend on the dress - the cut, material, etc.

If it was me, I'd probably wait as long as possible (so March), but I think it will be difficult for us to really provide solid advice.

@mel2k10. Uhm, not another site.  Just another board, also on TB.  She wasn't being rude, she was kindly redirecting you to a place where you may have better luck finding your answer.  Rude is barging in without any regard for what's going on on a particular board, how we do things, and demanding we help you.  When uhm, like she said, I'm really not personally equipped to answer your question because after 20 months of trying, we are still not KU.  Sorry I can't be of more assistance re: Ordering Bridesmaids' Dresses.

But if you are indeed trying, please feel free to intro on the newbie thread and join the daily TWW/WTO threads so everyobe can get to know you.  There's sort of a way we do things here that works for us, so please feel free to lurk and get the feel for things if you think you may like to actually participate and become a member of the COMMUNITY here.  ;)

You disregarded the rules by not reading them or the Newbie Guide before posting. If you'd taken the time to lurk and read the aforementioned information that is pinned at the top of the TTGP page, you would have known what the purpose of this board is, as well as known about trigger warnings.

OP, first of all, I am very sorry for your loss, but you need to add a TW (trigger warning) to your post because it mentions loss.  Second, this is a board of women trying to get pregnant, many for the first time.  This is really the wrong place to ask this question.  I would suggest posting this on the 1st Trimester board instead as they might have more insight than a bunch of women who have never been pregnant before

@mel2k10 You think that's rude? Wow! I think it's rude to barge into an established community, disregard rules like trigger warnings, and ask a question that none of us can answer! But that's me. I thought she was quite helpful in suggesting where on The Bump your question could better be answered considering none of us have any idea who you are and you didn't bother getting to know us. But then again I've seen your type before.

Um, what? I don't post here anymore, but I cannot let anyone get away with calling Lulu rude. She was one of the most helpful and kind people when I started in this group. PPs were honest, giving you good feedback for where you might go to get answers to this question.

FWIW, if you had posted this in 1st Tri, I would have been able to offer some advice, as I just went through a fitting for a May wedding. But people who rudely barge into this community and offend my friends don't get that advice.

In that case, please lurk on this board a bit more, read the posts pinned at the top and intro in the appropriate thread then join us on the daily threads depending on where you are in your cycle.  We welcome new members with open arms and if you decide to stick around you will find that this is an amazing and supportive group of women and they have helped me get through some rough times over the past 7 months or so

I tried multiple times to get "site" to autocorrect  to "board"... just couldnt do it

I'll echo that your approach was pretty rude OP...

i actually can answer this. I normally wear a size 8 and ordered a 16, then had it altered to fit me closer to the wedding date.
