I will start us off since this is my last week posting in this thread! Thank you @jwatt5 and @byrneme for volunteering to take over... When the two of you finalize who is taking it, Im here to answer any questions- but it really is super easy.

    1. How far along are you? What is your EDD? 13 weeks 5 days   July 12th with Twins!
    2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having? Headaches, horrible headaches. Dont know if they are hormonal or muscular- but they last forever. I have also been craving cold drinks lately, which I find strange because its the dead of winter here in NY. 14 degrees outside and I want iced water, and ice cold ginger ale.
    3. When is your next appointment?  February 6th and it is only an OB check up. I have to wait til 20 weeks for another sonogram- it feels like FOREVER away. I am going to see if I can go earlier for a gender scan- see if they can see anything sooner than 20 weeks.
    4. Anything else you'd like to share?
I love these boards! The IF board helped me so much through my 2.5 years of struggle. Now being pregnant, and having the support of all of you ladies on tHis board, I am very grateful! Cant believe I will actually be entering my second trimester- so unreal!! I will see you all over there in a few weeks

QOTW: What is your best pregnancy moment so far? I have a few:
1- Hearing that it was twins.
2- Sharing that it was twins. IF kinda took away the element of surprise for my hubby and I. Everyone knew my procedures and knew when I should be preggo- we all became pro's at the IVF schedule lol so it was hard to suprise people that I was pregnant. But being able to say there are TWO- well, the reactions I got were priceless
3- EVERY SONO. Seeing those little babies grow week to week has been the most amazing thing.

    1. How far along are you? What is your EDD? 9 weeks, 1 day - August 13th 2017
    2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having? Headaches, constipated but I really feel like my energy is coming back (I have been trying to keep moving a bit more and eating small meals throughout the day).
    3. When is your next appointment? On the 16th I have my first Midwife appt, then the 19th I have another U/S with my RE.
    4. Anything else you'd like to share? A big part of me wishes these symptoms would be consistent haha. I'm feeling better and can't help but worry. Mind you, it seems I've exchanged really bad fatigue for a constant headache - I maybe want the fatigue back.

QOTW: What is your best pregnancy moment so far?
The ultrasounds - the last one was fun seeing the baby actually move. I still don't get excited telling people I'm pregnant (I'll be telling work this week due, I can't stall a few projects any further) but seeing the LO and knowing everything is going well makes me feel more confident each time.

Thanks @Colleen0516 for doing this board - @byrneme and I decided I'll take over since I have a few weeks longer than she left on the board. :)

    1. How far along are you? What is your EDD? 11w6d -- EDD 7/25/17
    2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having? My symptoms are so freaking irregular it is driving me bonkers. This weekend I felt great and had a ton of energy and an appetite (which then freaks me out) but today I'm barely moving and have a raging cluster headache behind my left eye and am fairly nauseous.
    3. When is your next appointment? Tomorrow for our panorama blood draw and NT scan. VERY excited to see the LO again and hear the heartbeat. Especially since I'll be 12 weeks - I think that will offer some much needed reassurance.
    4. Anything else you'd like to share? @JWatt5 , every week I post after you and feel like I could post the same thing LOL. I'm really struggling to find the joy vs. trepidation in telling people. A VERY close friend (who announced her pregnancy a few weeks ago) reached out to see how we were doing in our IVF journey. She wasn't prying, it's genuine concern, and I told her we were pregnant. I get about 2 minutes of happiness before the 'but what if tomorrow I'm not' thought creeps into my head. Argh!

QOTW: What is your best pregnancy moment so far? It's kind of silly but one day my husband came in with the mail all giddy. He had ordered one of those As Seen on TV rubber place mats with the food tray as part of it (not 100% sure how to explain it). He said he knows it will be ages before we can use it but he couldn't resist the ad when it popped up so he ordered it. That and, of course, every freaking sonogram :)

    3. When is your next appointment? Should find out today about 1st sono, sometime next week.
    4. Anything else you'd like to share?

QOTW: What is your best pregnancy moment so far?
I was going to meet friends for brunch on Saturday and it was lightly snowing. As I kissed DH goodbye, he looked me in the eye and said, "Be careful, you're carrying precious cargo!" With him not ever being 100% sure he wanted kids, this meant A LOT to me.

Just wanted to let you know I'm off to the second tri board this week!  14 weeks woo hoo.  See you all there soon.
  • Options
    Congrats! @mjacks16

    1. How far along are you? What is your EDD?
    12w3d, 7/21/17

    2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having? Nausea and exhaustion are starting to subside and only come in bouts but this morning happens to be bad. Can definitely feel the cramps/pressure/sharp twinges from my growing uterus. My gums have started to bleed & hurt every time I brush my teeth, which my mom experienced with both me and my sister. And my TMJ is real bad, always hurts to chew - time to see the dentist!

    3. When is your next appointment? 1/13 with OB and hopefully my NT scan with a specialist this week as well

    4. Anything else you'd like to share? Panarama came back as no result due to low fetal fraction, which is why my OB wants my NT scan done by a perinatologist. I was told it could be due to BMI, which I guess it could be but mine isn't super high, or it was too early, or b/c the blood draw was done with a butterfly needle. I had a redraw done on Sat (with a regular needle) and hopefully I'll get results back this time

QOTW: What is your best pregnancy moment so far? Definitely the last u/s when I saw baby move for the first time. I also love it when DH rubs my belly and asks how [baby's name] is doing  <3
  • Options
    1. How far along are you? 11weeks 1day. Due 7/30/17

    2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having? Still tired but it's starting to let up which is nice. My appetite has been off. I'm really full after a few bites.

3.When is your next appointment? NT scan on the 16th and then next ob appointment is on 2/2

    4. Anything else you would like to share? I said to my husband Last night I can't believe next week I'll be 12 weeks. It just feels so significant and that we will be crossing another hurdle.

QOTW: What is your best pregnancy moment so far? Definitely telling my husband that I'm  pregnant! I couldn't contain my smilies and crying so I literally tossed a gift bag at him and hid around  the corner!

I think my panarama is at 17 weeks. He did the NT scan, all looked good. He also did some blood work, but only the finger prick test, not a full blood draw. I believe he said I would typically get that at 15-16 weeks but said I cant wait til the 17 weeks OB appointment so I dont have to come in again. Hearing all of you do it now though is making me wonder if it should be done sooner?

@Colleen0516 From what I understand, the Panorama and NT scan are meant to be screening tools to help you decide whether or not you want to do further testing like cvs or amnio. And I think cvs is usually done by 13 weeks and amnio between 14-20. But if you know that no matter what you don't want to do further testing it probably doesn't matter when you do your Panorama. Or perhaps if, like you, the NT scan looks good, maybe docs are not so concerned about the need for further testing so the timing of the Panorama doesn't matter? Just a theory but if you're concerned of course ask your OB. I do know you get better fetal fraction the further along you are
  • Options
@Colleen0516 the only reason I'm doing the Panorama is my age and insurance covers it. To be honest, I'm considering dropping it today after reading about the risk of false positives. My appointment goes NT Scan/chat with the genetic's counselor/blood draw so there's a chance I'll still scrap that part of it after talking to her. The timing of the Panorama doesn't matter to my knowledge, just the timing of the NT scan since it is dependent on the view of the base of the neck being transparent. I wouldn't worry :)

AFM - standard freak out moments today as I have been with all my u/s. Strangely I'm not scared of what could go wrong on the NT scan but rather the scan itself and that something has gone wrong since my last one. I wish these little panic attacks would just GO AWAY.

My NT came back fine. They also did that finger prick and tested for down syndrome, trisomy 13 & 18. I didnt get those results back yet, so I will call today. I really don't want the panorama, I just thought it was mandatory.

@Colleen0516 my doc told me you either do the panorama or the NT with the finger prick.  If you already did the finger prick and all looks good you can probably opt out of the panaorama.  I've decided to do the NT Scan with panaorama based on my age.  I wouldn't do any further testing though due to the risks they carry.

AFM: having a minor meltdown today bc I'm not as nauseous as usual.  I like the reassurance of symptoms!

@Colleen0516 is 100% right. I had my NT scan yesterday which 'couldn't have looked more perfect' but I was just happy to see the LO bouncing all around and still having a strong heartbeat of 173 (seems a little high for 12 weeks but I can address that next week with my OB). The best thing is the reassurance that symptoms coming and going doesn't mean jack :) I hope that helps calm you a little bit @JWatt5 and @ChristinaV2015 !!

    1. How far along are you? What is your EDD? 10 weeks 5 days, August 4, 2017
    2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having? just tired some days. Thankful to have skipped out the nausea/morning sickness, at least this far.
    3. When is your next appointment? 01/23 which seems FOREVER away. I want to see my babies!
    4. Anything else you'd like to share? Husband and I are taking our last big vacation before the babies in February, I'm debating on whether to stay stateside or go to Europe. I'm so indesisive, hubby wants me to make a decision today! eek!

QOTW: What is your best pregnancy moment so far?
Seeing and hearing the babies heartbeats, without any symptoms it feels so weird to know that there are little beings growing inside me. Hearing and seeing their heartbeats is so reassuring and makes it feel more real.

Random question: has anyone else's families already started to discuss/plan the baby shower? I feel like it's way too early plus I'm worried about jinxing things(crazy I know). Today I'm going with my SIL to look at a place because they are worried everywhere will be booked up before we know it because it will be high wedding/graduation season. I honestly think they are just so over the moon we are finally pregnant they just can't contain themselves lol.

On another awesome note I'm pretty sure I have a small bump. It's a little more pronounced than my bloat was. I feel like it's a little early but I was a little chunky before so I think the baby is just pushing out my fat!

Well here goes in jumping in.  Been lurking for a while.  I am 7w1d edd aug 30th. Had 1st ultrasound yesterday and got to hear the heartbeat, it was 136.

Pregnancy symptoms... tired, boobs are sore at night, not much nausea more just my stomach feeling off, I'm on progesterone in oil injections so constipation urg.

Next appointment is jan 25th. Last progesterone injection is feb 1st.

We went thru 5 iuis a chemical pregancy and 2 rounds of IVF both with egg retrievals. It's been a long road getting here and we are so happy.

@ARB425 We've only told both sets of parents, still working on telling the rest of my family. But both moms have already started taking about a shower. They're also asking about telling people. I'm feeling pressured to tell because they want to share the news.

@ARB425 - We've told both families (parents & sisters) and then we've both told work at this point. They've all been told not to say a word to anyone else. My sister gets married on the 4th in Mexico so no one is talking shower yet although my best friend ask if she could hold one for me for our University friends which was super sweet, we've said we'll talk about it again in April.

ARB425 My mom has started talking about a shower too! No solid arrangements or anything - but shes just so excited. She's already trying to help me plan the nursery, day care, etc. I felt the same way about jinxing it at the beginning too, but her excitement is so contagious. I'm just hoping for the best.

I guess I will go ahead and jump in also as I've been lurking.

    1. How far along are you? What is your EDD? I am also 7w1d with an EDD of 8/30. @tiffavis12 and I were cycle twins!
    2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having? Slight nausea occasionally, very emotional, smell EVERYTHING, and exhausted
    3. When is your next appointment? Next Monday with my new OB
    4. Anything else you'd like to share? @Colleen0516 a few weeks ago, I remember you saying that you were scared to be weened off progesterone because even though you hated the shots, you knew it was good for the babies. I wasn't even pregnant at the time but that really stuck with me. Now I'm feeling the same way. I hate the shots....so so much. But at the same time, it's for the baby and I don't want to risk anything!

QOTW: What is your best pregnancy moment so far? Definitely getting to see the baby/heartbeat on the ultrasound last Monday. I wish I could just watch all day long.

So excited to be going through this with you ladies!!

@persnickity my mom and mother in law can't keep secret so the entire family knows which I'm okay with. They have been super supportive. I'm glad you actually booked our community room today because there wasn't a lot of days open left. We have a huge park system with beautiful enclosed shelters but they book out a year in advance so we were really limited in our options. Our house is just too small and even though we have a large backyard the weather is too unpredictable here.

@jwatt5 believe me I would have loved to wait to discuss the baby shower but my family tends to be slightly overbearing at times!

I had my first ultrasound a couple days ago at 6w6d and we are having TWINS!! I'm so excited but so nervous! Go back for 2nd u/s on 1/24 then released to OB. My RE weans PIO at 11 weeks. I will be so glad when I'm done with those!! I've been taking them since a week before my transfer and I've had enough.

    TTC for 8 years.
Started in 2008 with timed intercourse, ovulation testing, no official monitoring.
OB-GYN recommended Clomid and timed intercourse, attempted for 6 straight months.
First surgery June 2009 (OB-GYN): diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and large hydrosalpinx on right tube.
Second surgery (July 2009, RE performed this): Right tube had to be removed, lots of adhesions removed.
Attempted "trying on our own" as per RE recommendations, unsuccessful 5-6 months.
HSG performed December 2009: left tube open.
February 2010: started Femara and timed intercourse, attempted 6 months, no BFPs.
Took a break for a while.
January 2011: started IUI process, ovaries never properly responded to medications, 6 failed attempts, never actually completed an IUI.
Took 2012-2014 off due to depression and frustration (side note: did complete grad school to become a nurse practitioner- great distraction).
2015: started seeing RE again, went through tons of testing and HSG, left tube now blocked, only option is IVF.
September 2015: Started first official IVF cycle, cancelled in October due to large cyst on left ovary.
October 2015: started on birth control for 2 months.
December 2015: attempted to start another IVF cycle, cysts on both ovaries on initial ultrasound, left was huge, cancelled to aspirated cyst.
January 2016: Cyst back, surgery for ex-lap, cyst and adhesions removed.
March 2016: Attempted second IVF cycle, estrogen way too high, cyst back, cancelled again.
April 2016: Third attempted IVF cycle, 7 eggs retrieved, 2 mature (but not great) embryos made to fresh transfer, neither implanted.
May-Sept 2016: Break to regain sanity.
Sept-Oct 2016: Attempted fourth IVF cycle, very successful, cyst still on left but we ignored. 7 mature "great looking" eggs retrieved, 4 mature embryos made it to day 5 transfer. Transfer aborted due to large amount of endometriosis fluid in uterus.
FET of 2 embryos completed on 12/12/16.
    12/22/16 1st Beta 179 BFP!!!
    12/24/16 2nd Beta 449!!

    Lurking from 2nd tri...

@JuliaAnn86 I'm not sure I could handle Paris without eating the cheese! I'm a big cheese fan, all those stinky completely unpasteurised cheeses! I ate so much cheese when we were there a few years ago (thinking it was a last splash out before we got pregnant... life doesn't always go to plan).
But there is so much more to Paris than cheese! And lots of incredible bump friendly food!  :)

I loved the l'orangerie - we went first thing in the morning and were alone in those amazing 360° Monet rooms.

    Have a fantastic time! :)
