2nd Trimester

Pop in low pelvic

Hi I'm a FTM and just felt a single pop sensation in my lower pelvis. I'm 14w+1. What is this? Could it be baby?

Re: Pop in low pelvic

  • That would be very early for baby if you are a FTM, but not unheard of, so possible!  Also possible that it's some funny gas (sorry , but true). I assume it wasn't painful?
Me:  35 year old FTM, a busy city banker living in London, and a constant worrier.
My DH:  French guy, car fanatic, best husband ever.
Our baby boy:  Due on 17 April, currently 37 weeks.  I can't believe it - I made it to full term!!!!
Last measurement:  3150 gs at 37+1!  This is going to be a big baby :)
  • Gas or baby would be my 1st thoughts too. Also, your muscles down there are all lubing and stretching so, it's very possible it a muscle thing.

  • It could be RLP but it could also be baby although that is less likely at 14 weeks, especially for FTM.

  • I am carrying very low with my second and at around 17 weeks I felt little jabs from the baby about where my zipper rests for my pants. My doctor said this is very common in second+ pregnancies. Otherwise with my first (and second) my pelvic area pops from any shift of my hips, due to the realignment. Maybe for you it could be one or the other as well? :)
  • I would guess gas. I wasn't able to tell a difference until about 18 or 19 weeks. I'm 24 weeks now and the "pops" are more noticeable!
