Newbies of December Unite?

So I searched for a newbie thread and nothing recent came up so I guess I will get this thing going. I've been lurking for a few weeks and decided I should finally introduce myself.

Ages (you and SO): i'm 29 and DH is 31

How many months have you been TTC?  We just got serious about TTC

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? OPT so far.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)  DH and I have been married since October after an 18 month engagement. We both have no previous marriages or kids. We did however have a dog and a cat from our life as single people, we thought it would be fun to add a puppy into the mix, we now have 9 month old puppy who is just over 80lbs. So that has been fun. I work full time for an optometrist and have a tendency to volunteer for everything. In my free time I love to bake and Knit. 

My IUD was due to be taken out at the first of the year and we thought about just letting nature take its course but at my yearly last month the doctor offered to take it out then. Even though we had talked about having children, we didn't realize how much we wanted a child until that safeguard was gone. I started OPT because I haven't had AF visit in 5 years just to figure out when to be prepared. The waiting for something to happen has been low and I lack patience. So wish us luck. The waiting might make me crazy.

    @Mrs.Roberts1022 the same month I had my iud removed, I did ovulate about 14 days later. But each person is different. Again welcome. And I'm pretty sure the tag isn't going to work, I think it is because of the period in your name.
