scar tissue

I had an emergency c section years ago. Well during a tube removal last year, it was discovered that I have this "huge pile of stuff" meaning scar tissue all attached to my bowel. and little to bladder.  I am scared to death.. what does this mean for second pregnancy and delivering? The dr said it would only be an issue if I need another c section ( which I will) and that they will need a general surgeon on stand-by. to avoid cutting the bowel.. this whole thing sounds incredibly risky.. He said I would be even higher risk. anyone have experience or know of this

@runner76  I am pregnant with my fourth and this will be my fourth csection. When they did my first one my obgyn wasnt on so it was a different one and this person didnt close me up they way my dr woud have preferred so when my dr went to do my second section she found it a little difficult because of all the scar tissue that she wasnt expecting and I had a  little bit of blood loss but it wasnt much. At the time she did mention that she wasnt sure if I would be able to have more kids because of the risk of going back in.  At the end  she said that I healed prefectly well and gave me the go ahead for the third. During my third she had a second attending dr scrub in with her to assist with the cesction and it went more smoothly than antcipated.  And here I am on to my fourth, my old doctor was a little conservative and really didnt want me tohave a fourth when I talked to her about trying again but she didn't  flat out refuse. I am seeing a new doctor this time around because my old dr decided to not deliver babies anymore. This new dr isnt at all concerned about my past sections and will just have another doctor scrub in again.
With that said, I'm not sure if you are pregnant  or will be trying but talk to your doctor and see what they say and if you need to,  talk to a second doctor for a second opinion. I think it will also depend on where you live and what hospital you will deliver at (small community hospital vs a teaching hospital  where more staff will be on hand if something were to happen). Also look for a doctor that has done many cesections to where they may have already encountered issues such as yours before hand and know what to do. I think when you talk to the dr and are upfront and they may ask to look at your records they know what they would be up against and can tell you for certain.
