Hi ladies, I had a meltdown last night over a Hulu advertisement for Clearblue tests. Thought I'd give a heads-up here in case anyone wants to take the affirmative step of avoiding Hulu commercials if you're feeling fragile. The ad caught me completely unawares and I was a puddle of tears for a good twenty minutes afterwards. You would think that CB would be sensitive to loss and not make commercials quite as emotional as this one, but I guess not. If you're feeling especially masochistic today (jk), you can view it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isL0t8KeWrk. But I recommend against it.
I'm avoiding Hulu commercials now because I don't want to see it again. It came up twice last night when we were watching, so I'm having DH mute the TV and tell me when they're over now. I know I'm probably being a wuss but I just can't handle it.

@amberruka Apparently a lot of people are. I (huge mistake) got on FB the day after we found out our baby stopped growing only to see a video of a PG announcement of a girl who was only five weeks. I was so annoyed and angry, I still haven't acknowledged her pregnancy and she just started her 2nd tri.

Harrumph. Maybe I've just seen so many triggering commercials, this wasn't any worse than any of the other baby ads for me. But it does suck so bad either way. Thanks Clearblue, for reminding me that I will never be that uncontrollably excited or happy about a PG. That level of happiness makes me recoil - too much anxiety to enjoy it, and it feels like tempting fate. Oh well. 75% of women won't have to experience that. Bitter Hag, party of one, over here...
