@leilac The sauce is my dads recipe that he has been working on for years. His uncle used to make it but passed away when my dad was in his teens, and he never wrote the recipe down. When DH and I got married he asked for the recipe and started to learn to make it. All I know about the cooking process (im not a cook, more a baker) is that its a bunch of tomatoes and spices at first, and its cooked in a crock pot. At the end of day 2 you put in the meatballs and sausage. By the time it is done its super dark red and thick. The photo below shows the whole meal, stuffed cheesy bread (I made that) and the spaghetti. **sorry the picture is huge**

sorry for CD 1 @RunRestRepeat I have had two cycles in a row that were longer than average and it really messed with my head. Put me into a bad space, but I feel like after AF leaves, I get ramped up and ready for a new FW and TWW. Have a glass of wine and a bowl of ice cream!

@Mrs_Jp I often have super light periods where I basically spot for 3-4 days but then other cycles I have a more moderate flow and super duper crampy. No idea what it means and it doesn't seem to correlate with anything.

@Mrs_Jp AF has always been fairly light for me. On BCP it was about 3 days of light to medium flow and one day of spotting. Now it's sometimes as little as 2 days of flow. I asked something similar once and was told by someone that their OB said it doesn't affect your chances of getting pregnant

@SaphireSweetie88 that was me! It showed me how to see the funny in all the horrible gross TTC stuff we do. @NYTino24 I usually have O pain for several days before O. Its like a short tight cramp on one side. That's how I would descrive it anyway @littlebug2010 OMG that looks amazing. I want it now! I agree that is how sauce is best... when cooked FOR EV ER! @hartmich Girl if you find those supplements let me know.
I'll try and comment more later but jeez soo many posts already!
Thanks, @leilac, @hartmich, and @JuneRoseRuby! At least now I can participate in a happy hour with my other Girls on the Run coaches tonight, so all is not lost. Plus, I have some really, really good bourbon at home that I was sad to miss out on. Might just drown my sorrows this weekend!
And thanks, @motherhubbard19! I knew you could all relate and am so grateful for the support here. I can only hope I am helping others a fraction of the amount I feel I've been helped. Honestly, one of the major things keeping me out of a total funk right now is that at least I can participate here for at least another month. Silver linings, right?
@RunRestRepeat I was sad about AF this cycle too, but I am going sky diving for the first time this weekend so that is keeping my spirits up! Get at that bourbon, girl!

R/R: Rant: At least I saw this coming so it wasn't like a sucker punch. It's been pouring for days and it's all dark and gloomy and I'm giving all of you 'too hot' people major side-eye. It's raining so hard that my wipers were going as fast as possible and it wasn't enough. It's hideous and I'm over it. And I'm too busy this week to do my usual treat my self wallowing of drinking and sitting around watching crap TV. Someone please bring back The Soup!
Rave: The diaper wreath that I'm making for my friend is turning out really cute. It's Harry Potter themed and I got the cutest Folkman's snowy owl puppet for it. I just need his perch stick to finish drying so I can do final assembly. (It's all mossy and stuff. Thanks, rain.)
GTKY: I applied for Teach For America and really wanted to do it. But I know they make some hiring choices I seriously question. I've seen total jerk wads get in and awesome people get turned away. I was devastated when I was rejected. But I now know that I probably would have broken up with MH and I would have been getting out and looking for work at the very bottom of the recession. So I wouldn't have MH or the job I've been at for 9 years now.

@leilac@laeberge3 I came off BC just about a year ago. This super
light business started about 3 months ago or 3 cycles ago. My temp is dropping
when it starts so I’m assuming it is AF and not just spotting.
@lulu1180 That is good to know. This is all new to me in the
last 3 months. I was on BC for a very long time and never had anything near
this light. I even remember the days pre BC and they were light but nothing
this light.
@Mrs_Jp I don't know that I can be much help as this is only my first cycle post BC but AF showed within a day or two of stopping it and it was very light and only 2 days. Now she won't show back up! When I was on BC they were very light for only a few days. Before starting BC it varied. Sometimes it was light and others it was like world ending. I don't think you have anything to be worried about.
@JuneRoseRuby Wow, skydiving sounds awesome! Definitely on my bucket list. Have fun!!!
@Kiki75 Boo for CD1. I'm way too busy until the weekend, but I plan on parking my ass in front of the TV, preferably with a drink, as soon as I get home on Friday. It'll be an added bonus that DH will be working late and I can watch anything I want!
R/R: had a long day traveling last night didn't get here until 1230am which is 330am where I live! Trying to adjust to the jet lag! Got a positive OPK yesterday had a high temp this morning but it could also be from the time change so I'm going to see if the next few days of temps are high too.

@RunRestRepeat Boo for you, too. Awesome day for a BFP drive-by. And I missed even snarking her.
Thank you you to everyone who stepped in and took care of business!
TW - On top of it all, I got an email about a new test result in MyChart. Which was weird because I don't have any recent tests. So I checked it to see what was up. Oh, just finally posted my first TV US results. Two months later and by some sick twist of fate, it happens today. F-ing awesome.

@kiki75 My H got rejected from TFA too. And I know I'm biased but he is an amazing teacher. AMAZING. He's on his 5th year and his principal is already talking about administration, etc etc. I remember he was soooo upset but got into a similar program that's specific to our city, so it all worked out.

R/R: I took a little break from Bumping and temping because I'm trying (TRYING) to take a more relaxed approach/not think about it so much. I even thought I could trick myself into thinking I'd be okay if DH was gone for most of my FW again but that was when he was actually supposed to be in town. So when he called last night saying he'd be home Friday but probably have to leave again on Sunday for a couple of days, the denial no longer worked It's also hard that there's 60 posts by 10am I don't like just posting without interacting.
Also, one of our dogs has a flea allergy and we've already bathed her, washed all sheets and blankets, put medicine on her neck, had to shave some of her fur off because she chewed herself to the point of bleeding, but a stupid cone so she can't bite, given another bath....and then this morning I found another effing flea on her before I'd even had my morning tea so back to the tub we went! I have connective tissue disorder and degenerative disc so I have a really bad back and bathing her is killer....I don't know how much she weighs but lifting her in and then the bending over. Ugh. I feel sorry for her but also for me today lol

@mrs35 HAHAHA @lulu1180 I'm so glad to hear about your evening with DH!! @Mrs_Jp My periods are usually pretty light: just two days of tampons (1 or 2 light/regular) then a day of spotting. But I've head that it's still a "real period" as long as there's enough blood to fill one tampon. @RunRestRepeat@Kiki75So sorry about CD1 - sending creepy internet hugs your way and hope there's lots of wine and chocolate already nearby!

GTKU: After I graduated college I moved to the UK, but couldn't get a job in the 6 months I tried. Over the Christmas holidays I came home and had coffee with an old friend who offered to get me an interview at her company nearby. @rainbowturtles Do you have any pet stores near you? The Pet Supplies Plus by us has a dog wash with an elevated sink where you can wash your pup. It is about $10 per wash or you can get a card that's 5 washes for $25 (includes soap and a dryer). It might be easier on your back.
@Pepper16 Were the lines on the OPKs darkening before your wondfos came? Also, did you check if FF gives you CHs with another high temp? It's possible you may have O'd on CD16 with a fallback rise today. But if the OPKs were still stark white before then, you may not have O'd yet.

@lulu1180 Thank you! The fake high temp!! I knew there was something I was forgetting!! Genius. Yes, a high temp tomorrow gives me (dotted line) CHs for CD16. And yes, there was a second line all during the days leading up to the CD16 (just not as dark as control) - WHY IS THAT THE DAY I RAN OUT?!? How. Why. And, perhaps most importantly in hindsight: what is wrong with me that I didn't just suck it up and buy the expensive ones??
That would also make sense since CM seems to be drying up (even though I never got EWCM, sorry for TMI). Ok, well, I'll see what happens with my temp tomorrow. Than you again!!

@motherhubbard19 that honestly made me laugh out loud thanks for that!!!
@wabash15 thank you!! I do miss everyone! And I honestly didn't know a flea allergy existed. This girl is part Husky and has so much hair that we didn't realize what was going on at first so I feel shitty about that. DH is a forestry engineer and often takes her with him so she's out in the woods soooo much (obviously she's staying in for the most part now). At the beginning of the season she came home with 14 ticks on her one day!!! It was horrendous
I honestly tried to go through and read everyone's and reply but my muscles are literally shaking me I should probably eat something lol Internet hugs all around!
R/R: IUI was this morning! I'll make the same joke I made to my friends: Took all of two minutes. Not unlike the regular way.
And with Clomid giving me overnight hot flashes and Ovidrel making me nauseated, just wondering what fresh hell is in store with Prometrium. They didn't ultrasound me this morning so I asked if they just assume I ovulated 36 hours after the trigger, and the doc said it's "highly likely" I did, so I'll go to TWW tomorrow.

GTKU: Have you ever had something happen to you that you thought was bad but it turned out to be for the best? When I was in 8th grade I applied for the local magnet science and technology school, mainly because my brother went there and I thought that was just the "next step" for someone in GT classes. I ended up not getting in and was bummed about it, thinking I was a failure or not as smart as I was expected to be. I went to the neighborhood high school instead, and it was the best thing I could have done. I hated science and math, and my classes would have been pretty much nothing but science and math, so going to a school that allowed me to pursue English, languages, and music was better suited. And I ended up at the same college as my brother anyway.

For me, yes, felt the same, but I also didn't have any pain/cramps for my HSG. I'm one of the lucky ones. He commented my cervix was wide open. My cervix has no shame. But really, it looked like they use the same equipment, just insert a different liquid.

Bad breakup right before LSAT prep > bombed the LSAT > didn't get into the school I wanted > was going to trash that career plan > went anyway/my mom made me > did awesome > Bad breakup #2/ dodged a major bullet > my H
@SaphireSweetie88 that was me! It showed me how to see the funny in all the horrible gross TTC stuff we do.
@NYTino24 I usually have O pain for several days before O. Its like a short tight cramp on one side. That's how I would descrive it anyway
@littlebug2010 OMG that looks amazing. I want it now! I agree that is how sauce is best... when cooked FOR EV ER!
@hartmich Girl if you find those supplements let me know.
I'll try and comment more later but jeez soo many posts already!

@leilac @laeberge3 I came off BC just about a year ago. This super light business started about 3 months ago or 3 cycles ago. My temp is dropping when it starts so I’m assuming it is AF and not just spotting.
@JuneRoseRuby Good to know that it’s not just me.
@lulu1180 That is good to know. This is all new to me in the last 3 months. I was on BC for a very long time and never had anything near this light. I even remember the days pre BC and they were light but nothing this light.
@Kiki75 Boo for CD1. I'm way too busy until the weekend, but I plan on parking my ass in front of the TV, preferably with a drink, as soon as I get home on Friday. It'll be an added bonus that DH will be working late and I can watch anything I want!

GTKU: Have you ever had something happen to you that you thought was bad but it turned out to be for the best?
Yeah that's happened a lot for me. I always try to find the silver lining in things that happen that can't be changed to help have a more positive outlook

WAYDTGKU: BBT, PNV, DHA, Maca, green tea, feminine balance tea, wishing I could stuff some of DH's sperm in the freezer since he's always OOT
CS/Q:. Nope
GTKU: Have you ever had something happen to you that you thought was bad but it turned out to be for the best?
Not that I can think of right now, though I can usually eventually see some good in most situations. The only ones that are standing out in my head right now are relationships ending that at the time I thought was devastating but that ultimately led me to the love of my life
@lulu1180 I'm so glad to hear about your evening with DH!!
@Mrs_Jp My periods are usually pretty light: just two days of tampons (1 or 2 light/regular) then a day of spotting. But I've head that it's still a "real period" as long as there's enough blood to fill one tampon.
@RunRestRepeat @Kiki75So sorry about CD1 - sending creepy internet hugs your way and hope there's lots of wine and chocolate already nearby!

R/R: Rave: My wondofos finally arrived from amazon yesterday! Rant: I have peed on WAAYYYY too many of them and all negative. Although maybe the slightly line is darker this morning? And as a prime example of how sanity has officially left the building, I also used an HPT "just in case". That's right, folks. An actual HPT. I haven't even ovulated yet. The BSC has taken over. We're officially in the danger zone.

GTKU: After I graduated college I moved to the UK, but couldn't get a job in the 6 months I tried. Over the Christmas holidays I came home and had coffee with an old friend who offered to get me an interview at her company nearby. Well, I got the job, met an amazing co-worker for whom I transferred to an office across the country and who is now, yes, you guessed it, my DH (I normally don't use the "D", but this story makes me mushy...).

@Pepper16 Were the lines on the OPKs darkening before your wondfos came? Also, did you check if FF gives you CHs with another high temp? It's possible you may have O'd on CD16 with a fallback rise today. But if the OPKs were still stark white before then, you may not have O'd yet.

@lulu1180 that's an interesting thought actually but I'm not sure. I could call but also the closest place that I think might offer that is about a 45min drive away lol Might not be worth it unless I'm already going out, but I'll keep it in mind!
I honestly tried to go through and read everyone's and reply but my muscles are literally shaking me I should probably eat something lol

WAYDTGKU: Clomid + Ovidrel + IUI this morning! + Prometrium starting tomorrow
