Hi there! My husband and I just decided to start trying, and I am a little confused by my possible symptoms. My periods are very irregular, for example my most recent periods were very light on 6/23 to 6/25, then normal flow from 7/14 to 7/21, then 8/21 to 8/26. Nothing since then. My period tracker app said I should have expected my next one around 9/25, but with the irregularity it is basically impossible to tell for sure.
We had unprotected sex on 9/25, 9/27, 9/29, 10/2 and 10/3. I noticed my breasts hurt on 10/2 and they haven't stopped since. I've been uncharacteristically moody, got nauseous a couple times but only for a couple minutes at a time, and I have this weird feeling in my tum. Not really like period cramps, I'm not sure how to describe it. Almost like I'm flexing my lower abs all the time, but I'm not.
My question is, for you ladies who experienced these symptoms, how long after they started did you get your BFP?
Since I really have no clue when my 1st day of my missed period would have been, I am going crazy. I've taken 3 tests, and all were negative so far. I'm sure I've probably jumped the gun with the tests, but I'm very impatient! I have 1 left before I have to buy more and I want this one to count!

Seriously, OP, you got some stellar advice on TTGP. You won't get the response you are looking for here, either. FWIW, all of the symptoms you listed are symptoms of impending AF. Negative pregnancy test=not pregnant at this time.
I will add though, that it may be advisable to test weekly until AF or call your doctor if you go more than 60 days without AF. If you hung out and lurked TTGP you would know this already, though.
Yes, you're pregnant. Is that what you're looking for? Of course, I'm not God or a magician and neither is anyone else on this forum and none of us can look into your uterus. But I'll tell you yes to make you feel good because that's all anyone can do who is not a doctor or midwife actually giving you an ultrasound or blood test.
I'm always genuinely curious when people post these what they're trying to find out and what sort of answer they expect to get.
As someone with recurrent pregnancy loss who has been pregnant 7 times since starting TTC I feel extremely qualified to answer your question. So here it goes:
My question is, for you ladies who experienced these symptoms, how long after they started did you get your BFP?
Honestly? I typically don't start to get symptoms till at least 5 weeks. I can get a positive pregnancy test by 4 weeks though. So basically no symptoms before a positive test. Symptoms never gave me a "heads up" that I was pregnant. I always found out by taking a pregnancy test. And then after the pregnancy test I had a period of time where the only way I knew I was pregnant was my ability to get a positive pregnancy test. I didn't "feel" pregnant in any shape, form or fashion.
Since I really have no clue when my 1st day of my missed period would have been, I am going crazy. I've taken 3 tests, and all were negative so far.
Negative test means you're not pregnant at this time. Since you have no idea when the first day of your period is all any of us can tell you is to test weekly till you get a period or positive. If you haven't gotten a period or positive in 60 days consider discussing the situation with your doctor to see if s/he will give you Provera to jump start your next cycle.
I cannot recommend enough reading "Taking Charge of Your Fertility," buying a BBT (I'm partial to the Mabis on Amazon), signing up for FertilityFriend, buying some OPKs (like Wondfos off Amazon) and then using all that to track your cycles. If you know when/if you ovulated it'll take the stress out of "am I late? Should I test?" because at least you'll know.
My period tracker app said I should have expected my next one around 9/25, but with the irregularity it is basically impossible to tell for sure.
Period trackers are completely worthless for women with irregular cycles. You might as well hang a calendar on the wall, close your eyes and throw a dart at it then assume your next cycle will fall on whatever day the dart hit. That would be about as accurate. With irregular cycles you need information about when/if you ovulated. I'm not saying this to be rude. I'm saying this because I have irregular cycles (ranging from 28-50 days) and period trackers were always 100% worthless for me. They ended up causing me more frustration than if I hadn't bothered with them at all because they gave me a false sense of "knowing" when to expect my period. Before I started using period trackers I didn't stress over being "late" or "early" because I knew there was a lot of variation in my cycles.
got nauseous a couple times but only for a couple minutes at a time, and I have this weird feeling in my tum.
Stress? This honestly sounds like how I feel when I'm under a lot of stress and/or I haven't been sleeping enough. This sounds more psychosomatic than physical in nature.
Asking if you're pregnant is against the TOU pretty much everywhere on TheBump. Maybe Glow or BabyCenter would be a better fit for you?
You got great advice over on TTGP. I'd suggest you take it.

Everyone is different so don't worry too much about the symptoms this early on, I would say. For me the first symptom was feeling just weirdly uncomfortable - I was in my husbands car, and I felt ever swivel or bump in the road , it was uncomfortable and unusual. One day later, I started peeing "pregnantly". You know, it comes out a bit slower than usual because of all the possible congestion in the area. Not painful or anything, just comes out slow. That's when I took the test and it was positive, but it wasn't even 4 weeks then. I was 3w4d at that point. So very early, and at that point it wasn't even a viable pregnancy, so could have gone either way.
My mom reportedly threw up twice a day from 4 weeks onwards for 5 months. I had none of it.
So my advice is, dont worry too much and dont try to see or not see symptoms - if you are trying, just act like you are pregnant (no alcohol, vitamins take care, rest a lot) already. Dont worry about mild cramps - they are normal! and good luck
