PGAL Discussions

So since we have many new faces we've been talking about getting more discussion going. Some of these topics we've suggested are already on other boards we might be part of (BMBs, etc.), but, and I don't know about you, I don't like to keep bringing up PGAL on my BMB, feeling like I'm bringing up a sore topic too much. So here are some of the suggestions we've had.

Feel free to suggest more below, and also, if you're interested in owning one of these topics, please comment which one and what day you'd like (though some are specific to days of the week already).

Obviously PGAL weekly check in is being run faithfully by @waterfall213. But here are the others:

Flame Free Confessions Friday
Weekend worries @1inthehopper
WTF Wednesdays
Weekly chatter (PGAL and non-PGAL, or perhaps just non-PGAL)
A weekly GTKY @Bok Bagok
Perhaps one for appointments, for those mamas who are anxious about regular appointments?

Perhaps a celebration or milestone thread, for passing loss milestones, hearing heartbeat, ultrasound, etc. Maybe this one would be twice a month rather than weekly.

Thoughts?

Im totally down for more discussions here! I'm in the other PGAL group that was mentioned and we also have some other fun threads such as hump day bump day but we include *TW belly photos* in the Title so anyone is still nervous can avoid the pictures if they feel they should. We also have a thread for crazy pregnancy dreams that's pretty funny.

I think the appointments thread is a good idea. We do that on my BMB. Obviously not everyone will have an appointment every week, but sometimes being PGAL comes with more appointments than normal.

I can start the Weekend Worries thread each weekend since I'm very good at worrying lol

And I agree, I'm hesitant to even join my BMB yet since I'm PGAL and plus I don't want to constantly be bringing up my loss and worries to people who don't fully understand and I don't want to cause them worry

How about an every other week appointments/milestones thread? And a fitness/nutrition thread?

I'll do a weekly GTKY one. I agree, I don't often post on my BMB because I feel like I'm such a Debbie downer I have nothing to contribute.

We could also do a weekend recap one to talk about fun/interesting things we've done. ?

I like the idea of WTF Wednesdays   and crazy dreams! I had some last week LOL

I haven't joined my BMB board, and I don't know if I will...

I never feel as comfortable in BMBs. I can't just blithely chat about pregnancy, expecting nothing will go wrong! I need fellow anxious ladies. ;)

I have been more active on my BMB now that I'm in third tri. But I totally agree with you all. Sometimes I have to bite my tongue at the clueless FTMs who believe nothing bad can happen.

Ladies who have recently got BFPs - has anyone started a PGAL weekly check in on your BMB? I actually met some really great ladies there in mine. If no one has started one you should consider it - I started the one on my BMB and way more people than I expected came out of the woodworks.

@yolandamunoz I can see it from the mobile app and there are some posts on it - I remember January 17 took a while to be added to the list but I could find it if I googled it - if June isn't showing up for you, you could try that

Thanks @ceclarlinetlo maybe I can try.... I am feeling hopeful and happy today.

As I was taking my shower, I thought of some posts ideas.

For example, pregnancy friendly products. Like every day products that we cannot longer use, but we find alternatives. Like for nail polish, make up, shampoo, etc. brands that are parebens free, organic, etc.  herbal teas that do not contain hibiscus, caffeine free, etc. Is decaf better han little caf? How about Coca Cola? Flavored water alternatives? Calcium Rich meals. I don't know... these sorts of things.

    what do you think?
