  • @NurseTMD85 It's so sad! I love chips and salsa too.... And yes, agreed, new homepage is yuck.
@Tulips29 Lucky! I had a hamburger with ONE tomato on it and it made me a little pukey. Enjoy them!

@cmm012 I never get flu shots, but that's a good question to ask the OB. I don't believe in them personally, so I hope they aren't a requirement during pregnancies.

  • Random advice I got today at work - don't bend down because it causes the umbilical cord to twist and can wrap around the baby. Anyone ever heard of this? I figure if it was that serious, our doctors would warn us. The lady told me to sit and then reach down, but not to bend down to pick things up.

  • 39+6 today. Had an ultrasound and NST and baby appears to be doing great, but no effacement or dilation :/ I'm ready for her to be out!!! They are scheduling an induction for sometime next week but I have to wait for a call tomorrow. The agony of this final wait!!!
  • @ale9687 Enjoy it now! All I ate in the beginning was pasta and pizza until it started giving me the worst heartburn and reflux in my life!

@cmm012 I'll be getting my shot... but I also don't have a choice. It's a requirement because I'm a nurse and my hospital makes me do it. I've never had any issues with it so I don't really mind. I hear pregnant women are more susceptible to illness and so it is definitely recommended. I would ask your OB if you're unsure.

@tulips29 I have never in my life heard such strange advice. I agree. I think our OB would tell us to avoid that.

@katie121209 I hope induction is sooner, rather than later in the week. Good luck!

@cmm012 interesting... I will ask abt flu shot! I don't usually get one, but will for the LO!

@Tulips29 that sounds pretty far fetched! Old wives tale most likely. I wouldn't put much stock into it.

Okay so freaking out a tad. I'm on vacation and fell asleep before taking my vaginal estrace. Didn't realize until 7am when I got up to do PIO. I IMMEDIATELY took it then. I also emailed my nurse... but has this happened to any of you?! Am I the only one that sucks at meds?? I need to set 1000 alarms I guess.

  • @cmm012 - I just got one yesterday. That was the first thing they wanted me to do at my OB appointment. They said it's not required but they definitely recommend it. I don't typically get the flu shot either but I figured I didn't want to chance anything.

@katie121209 - you are so close! How exciting. Hoping you get to induce early in the week and meet your little one!

I had an awful dream last night that I started bleeding and couldn't figure out what it was from and wanted to deliver at 22 weeks. Needless to say I didn't sleep very well after that.

  • @cmm012 @Tulips29 The flu shot is HIGHLY recommended for pregnant women as there are several health problems associated with getting the flu while pregnant. And with your immune system compromised, you can really get whammied. Unless you are allergic, I would really consider it

@katie121209 Sheesh, your baby is just taking their time! Praying for a quick change for you!

@babylonghorn16 Don't worry too much, one dose off is not likely to cause serious problems. But I hear you about needing to set alarms.

@Griffin5413 I'm sorry about your dream, those are the worst! Hugs for a calm day!

@Griffin5413 that's a scary dream....but it was just a dream and hopefully you won't have more like that to come.

@babylonghorn16 I also think you're ok with 1 missed dose. I used to line up my pills right next to my phone on my nightstand, so I'd see them first thing in the morning or before going to sleep.

  • Dont worry about the dose @babylonhorn16, here in Scandinavia we don't get told to do it at set times, just mornings afternoons and/or evenings and try to be around the same times.
We do get preggers, so I reckon a little off doesn't do harm

  • Thanks ladies! They scheduled me for an induction Wednesday evening if I don't spontaneously labor before then. How to pass 5 more days?!
  • So my surgery went well I was awake they numbed the area and it turned out luckily it was not infected. Dr said I did a great job with the pain. Hopefully it heals in a few weeks
so my question is I use a free and clear detergent to wash the babies clothes.is tide free and clear safe? And what do you ladies use?
  • @ultratomato I have not got detergent but I read that tide and deft aren't too good. Babyganics may be better. You can always do a search for organic laundry detergents.

@AandDM2014 Congratulations! I hope you have a healthy and safe pregnancy.

About me. Even though I'm not 7 weeks yet, I need to switch to maternity clothes. My belly is huge and it's not going down. My uterus was already enlarged because of fibroids, so I'm guessing that's why.
