What are the precautions for baby cold and cough on chest?

Hey We are on family trip . My new born baby got cold and cough. Is there any home made formula so that at least he can sleep at night?

Nope. So so sorry!!! My little guy got a terrible cold when he was a newborn. The owlet was a life saver! It let me know his oxygen saturation, and heart rate. Lots of saline drops, snot sucker (not the bulb), humidifier at night. Check for a fever rectally if you're worried. Temp of 102 or higher call your pediatrician immediately. No meds allowed except Tylenol in extreme cases.
