  • Ugh -Welcome to the US Health care system @catiecatp! I'm sorry about the timing of everything. There should be a low-cost women's health type clinic in your area that should be able to help you if you need to get in for an emergency scan before your insurance kicks in. I would try to avoid going to the ER in that time because an ER visit are EXTREMELY expensive for the uninsured. Though I think insurance should retroactively cover your visit after it comes through, but it can be a nightmare getting it figured out. Fx crossed you will have a great 12 week u/s and no need to see an OB until after your insurance kicks in.

So happy to hear that your pregnancy is going well!!!
  • YAY! So happy to see this thread started :):):)
  • I miss you all! I still lurk and I am cheering you guys on.

    1. 4wk 2days

    2. Anxiety comes and goes. I am trying to stay positive. The date of my loss in Thursday so I hope I can breathe a little after that.

    3. No specific cravings, everything sounds good to me right now!

  • @Wishilivedinflorida Hey there, lady! Hope you're doing well! Things aren't so great on my end, I'm sorry if I'm not around a lot from now on.

I'm pretty bad with screen names, especially if they have numbers in them, so please excuse anyone I'm missing.

  • I'm sorry that you aren't doing well right now @reneeannemm- you do whatever you need to do to help yourself <3 *hugs* lady!
  • @reneeannemm I did some lurking and caught up on things. I hope you get a plan in place soon and you're quickly on the road to a rainbow. I'm hoping and praying for so many good things for you.  <3
  • Thanks for the tag @reneeannemm - so sorry to hear of your additional struggles. I'm rooting so hard for you!

    2. The first few weeks were really hard. But after a clean NT screen and getting a Doppler so I can hear baby's heartbeat I have been feeling better. This is the furthest by far I have ever made it so I feel like my chances for a healthy pregnancy are as good as anyone else. I hope everyone hear reaches a good place with their PGAL anxiety soon!

    3. I don't think my cravings have been strange per say but some things I've really enjoyed have been watermelon, Campbell's tomato soup with crackers, and simple salads with Olive Garden salad dressing, and the broth from oriental ramen. Not all at the same time of course ;-)

  • Huh, I just came back over on a whim.  What a nice thread invite to see

I'm 9w5d.  I've had 2 scans so far and baby looks good, and we have passed the MC milestone from last time.  I do have a small SCH, but the doctor is not terribly worried about it.  Next scan to check on the SCH (and baby :) is at 11 weeks.

Not so much PGAL worry, but I am anxious about the 11 week genetics blood test.

Cravings - yes - more so than my previous pregnancies.  Spicy food - I'm normally a mild salsa girl but I've been buying hot.  Aversion to hot coffee.  The other day I absolutely had to have a salad at 8 pm and so I delayed my kids' bedtimes and put them in the car to drive through Panera.

  • Ps @catiecatp I agree about the snark on Feb2017.  Although maybe, possibly, it's gotten better in the last couple of weeks?

  • @16isourluckynumber - it is better I think, maybe having March 2017 call us out on it helped? - and it seems more confined to UO Thursdays and FFFC - so it is avoidable or at least predictable.

    Hello everyone!

I'm 6wks 1d today and feeling pretty good because I'm starting to feel pretty awful :-)

Getting past the CP window was a huge relief. I've had 3 betas done over the last week and a half and hcg is doubling at a consistent rate of 1.7 days. My first US is on the 29th, at 8 weeks, which is when things usually started going downhill in the past, so I'm just taking it a day at a time until then. I'm starting to feel queasy more often, usually at night, go figure :-)

My BMB is okay, but it's hard sometimes to not want to scream at the blind optimism of mothers who have never experienced loss.

Edited because TB keeps eating my posts.

Also edited to add: Milk! I'm craving milk of all things. Big glasses of it which is so not like me.

  • Yayyy! That's awesome @Spartanrd4 !!!
  • congratulations @Spartanrd4!!! So happy for you!

@dubcompanion I feel ya with the TTCAL crazies. I'm so tired but can't sleep bc I just keep googling HCg levels, odds of misscarrage... And planning in my head when I will have my D&C with my business trip being the week of Aug 8th. I just can't let myself be happy for fear I'm going to jinx this thing. It's going to be a long week till my appointment in 7 days. If we don't get good news I'm definately going to need to see a therapist this time. Good for you on being so proactive!
