Re: Weekend Randoms
On a NBR side note I walked in my house this evening and it was HOT I mean like devil's butt hot!! I had no clue why and I sat on the couch for about an hour....then I realized the heat was on in the house...I finally walk in the basement and see the furnace on full blast...so i politely turn it off and call DH and ask WTH happened...of course he blamed it on the technician that came to fix the washer and dryer...Im just like whatever I'm hot and you owe me lol....just needed to let that out ladies!

@krys Girl you have a busy weekend!! Hope your party goes well! Have fun ☺️
My random is this gopher that keeps showing up in our backyard, basically living under our deck! This morning we had to drop everything and rush outside to see what was the matter because the puppy was crying! And then he came around the house limping. :( I think he maybe was a little too curious about what the gopher was up to and may have gotten his paw slightly caught under the deck. But sure enough, he's back to his old silly self again. I think he was just being dramatic at the time. lol I'm glad he's okay, but I sure wish that pesky gopher would just scram!
Eta: Gopher GIF because it makes me happy

He kinda looks like this tho, I mean it's tough cos he really is a cute guy but I'm afraid one of these days there COULD be an altercation... :/

eta Oh, and now I'm reading that breastpump article, bc you know, planning.
I spent the last two days cleaning the entire house and potty training DS...I'm so proud of him. I thought it was going to be a nightmare but he seemed to pick it up right away. This is not how I imagined my 4th of July weekend would be 5 years ago but no complaints! It's been a great bonding experience so far. Color me shocked!

I had two bags of baby shower items that I forgot to bring to a shower with me when I went two months ago. A few weeks later she moved across the country so I was never able to give them to her. Today DH told me to donate them. I said ok. And stashed them in my closet. #noshame

I literally talked myself down from buying EVERYTHING yesterday, (i.e. charging everything), by talking myself INTO purchasing what I decided would get me to a good pausing point: 20/20 newborn AIOs, 24/36 xtra small prefolds, 12/24 small prefolds, 8/12 printed PUL covers in each of size 1 and 2, plus snappis and 4/24 flips (which may be overkill, so we'll see what happens). Thats not saying anything about the wool!
I also plan to get medium and large flats, overnight fitteds and some less expensive classic covers to round it all out. I am trying to do it strategically in stages, but so I wanted to have it at a good pausing point so maybe I can leave it alone for another cycle or two. Or sort of limit each cycle what I will drop.
What did you get her?
I got her bibs, mittens, burp cloths, two superhero onesies, and some swaddlers! So not a lot but also mostly useful items that can be easily stored. I already have a bag of some things so it's just going in with those.

I give up! Lol
Eta: That sounded harsh. He's a good kid but he is super pissed at the fireworks outside and is currently stomping around my house screaming.
